An Unaccompanied Minor

On Tuesday 5th I spent most of the day not really doing anything, then as it came closer to the time I had to go I wrote the last post and we played with Jules. Then we left for the air port, it felt like it was a long drive but we got there eventually. Once there, I checked in and went and had ice tea with Dad while we waited for 2 hours till my flight. We went through to the departure lounge and talked with someone from information and she gave me a badge and told me what was going to happen. We went and sat down and waited. We unaccompanied minors had to get on the plane last. Eventually we got on after a hard goodbye to Dad. There was another girl who was an unaccompanied minor who was flying home to Sydney. This flight was really quick and there was no turbulence.

In Sydney we were the last to get off the plane and we went and dropped of the other girl and walked to the shuttle bus that takes you from the domestic terminal to the international one. I was left there with some one, then picked up and taken on the bus by a lady who was really nice. At the international terminal the lady took me to get food, drink and to use the bathroom. She said she was glad I had decided to go because she needed to go too. I then went and sat down and read for 1 and 2/3 of an hour, then another lady picked me and this other guy up and took us through immigration. Once through we walked past all the duty free shops to the terminal. We were told to sit and wait to go on to the plane behind the ticket scanner. Unlike the Sydney flight we were the first on and my seat was 59 A (next to the window and a few rows behind the wing). Eventually everyone boarded and we taxied out while listening to a safety video. We sat for about 15 min then we took off. It was quite loud but unlike last time I traveled my ears didn't pop or stay popped for ages.

In the air we got drinks and a "comfort kit" (a small tooth brush with toothpaste and a blind fold thing). After a while they came round with a menu. We got cucumber and cherry tomato salad with lemon and chardonnay vinaigerette, with a choice of Home style Japanese Chicken Curry with Koshihikari Rice or Steamed Fish with Lemon and Horseradish Sauce, Carrot Puree and Greens. We also got White Chocolate Mousse and a small chocolate, mine had strawberry flavoring (it tasted like I could have bought it from Kokoblack. I had the fish even though I don't like fish and it was nice. After a while I nodded off to sleep and slept for around three to four hours. We then got 2 forms, one for immigration and one for customs.

We then had breakfast and I had eggs, a small sausage and one slice of bacon. The breakfast wasn't that nice but was ok. We also got a date scone and some orange juice. We arrived 15 min early so we had to fly around in the air for a while because we aren't aloud to land before 6 am. Eventually we landed and I had to wait till everyone else got off. Once off the plane we walked through the terminal and finally we got to immigration. We got to go through the VIP line so it was quick. We then headed to get our luggage. Then we walked to customs which was also quick. They didn't look through our bags or put them through a scanner. When we got out the other guy was picked up immediately, then after a little while mum arrived. She was sooo happy to see me and after signing for me, we bought a ticket for the bus to Kichijoji. The bus ride took almost 2 hours and we arrived at Kichijoji eki (station). We then walked 3 min to Maris house to say hi, then 2 mins to the house we are staying in. Every thing that day was tiring because of my lack of sleep.

At the house - day 1

At 10 we arrived home. The house we are saying in is nice and it almost has a rain forest out the front, but you can't sit out there to admire it unless you want to be eaten alive by mozzies! In the house it has 1 bathroom, 2 toilets and a nice small staircase leading to the upper floor. It's on the same block as a small private school for adults (like CIT). It has a grand piano and quite a few rooms. I then had a shower and we headed off to Mari's and she gave me a beautiful doll in a kimono(dress) and a deck of cards that Ryu (her son) bought in Las Vagas, which had been used in a poker game just once. We then went shopping and I bought a whole heap of packets of mints. We then went to Yodobashi Camera (a big store for all electronic things) we were all sooo tired that we went home and Mum and I had a 2-3 hour sleep. then we went out again we walked past what Grant calls the Naruto place (a small bar where you can buy ramen like in Naruto the animation). We did a bit of grocery shopping and went home. I cooked Mabodofu and after we ate it, we then played black jack or 21 for a while and then went to bed.
